Embracing the cultural, spiritual, and emotional diversity around me has shaped my holistic approach to counselling, allowing me to connect with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. Before stepping into the world of counselling, I worked with humanitarian organizations, where I supported individuals and communities in navigating crisis and recovery. These experiences have grounded me in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and empowering, where you can feel truly heard and supported. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, emotional pain, or searching for clarity, I’m here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner strength and move toward healing and growth on your own terms. My Therapeutic Approach I integrate evidence-based modalities in a person-centred, collaborative manner, tailoring each session to your goals. My primary approaches include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gestalt Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to support actionable, strengths-based change. I believe in creating a safe space where we can explore emotions, thought patterns, and trauma while building tools for resilience and healing. Who I Work With I am deeply committed to supporting individuals from diverse racial, cultural, sexual, and spiritual backgrounds. I welcome anyone who feels that my services may resonate with them. My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, with a focus on empowering you to move through life’s obstacles and embrace personal and emotional growth at your own pace. Hello! My name is Chandler, I live in Vancouver B.C. and have lived there for the last six years.
My approach to therapy is one that uses a humanistic lens which takes a more existential approach to looking at some of the feelings that come with experiences, and allows for each individual to attribute meaning and purpose to their own lives based of their values and strengths.
Sessions with me are focused on your needs first and together we will find ways to calm the nervous system, reduce cortisol, and add purpose to each day, one little moment at time.

Hi! My name is Mina Hanna, and I am completing my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology with the goal of becoming a professional counsellor. My path into counselling grew out of personal experiences of growth, cultural transition, and a deep curiosity about the human mind and resilience.
Before counselling, I worked as a medical doctor and later in the insurance risk sector, where I learned to recognize patterns, assess risk, and appreciate each person’s unique story beyond the data.
In my practice, I prefer to integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Adlerian and Psychodynamic approaches, along with Gestalt and Psychodrama principles to deepen awareness and foster self-understanding through experience and reflection.

My name in Chinese means “river” and “water,” reflecting my counselling style: steady, gentle, and supportive as people find their own direction. I hold a PhD in medical genetics and completed postdoctoral research on how genetics and life experiences shape mental health. I am now completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and working toward becoming a Canadian Certified Counsellor. My path from research to counselling grew from the realization that knowledge alone cannot fully meet the depth of human experience; what draws me to this work is sitting with people and listening to their stories with care.
My approach is relational, flexible, and grounded in each client’s unique story. I draw on somatic and attachment-based perspectives, attending to how emotions show up in the body and in relationships. I work collaboratively, emphasizing safety, steadiness, clear boundaries, and a pace that feels right for the client, while also considering how biology, stress, and life experiences shape mental health.
I feel especially drawn to working with individuals navigating identity changes, attachment or relationship concerns, high sensitivity, perfectionism, academic or career stress, anxiety, and shame. I work with clients aged 15 and up and am also interested in supporting couples in building understanding and healthier patterns.

I believe In a biopsychosocial approach to counselling by which mind-body wellness is achieved by creating harmony between an individual’s social environment, personal thoughts and values, and biological make-up.

When life feels overwhelming, having a gentle space to reflect, be heard, and start to feel lighter can be the first step forward. I believe healing often begins when we feel safe enough to speak honestly. I aim to create a space where you can come as you are, slow down, and explore what has been weighing on you with care and curiosity. My approach is warm, grounded, and centered on connection. I listen closely, offer gentle reflections, and walk alongside you as things begin to feel a little clearer. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and I draw on both my own life experiences and a growing foundation of scientific understanding to support meaningful change. Bringing heart and knowledge together helps me be present for the moments that really matter, which makes this work deeply meaningful to me.
My journey into counselling is shaped by personal and professional experiences across Eastern and Western cultures, and by life in both multi-generational and smaller family settings. These experiences have given me insight into a variety of challenges, including relationship difficulties, work-life balance, substance use, and other mental health struggles. At the heart of my work are three core values: acceptance, authenticity, and empathy. I aim to create a space where it is safe to explore, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Witnessing the small but meaningful shifts when someone gains clarity, finds balance, or reconnects with their own strengths inspires me to do this work every day.

I am an Associate Therapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, offering low-cost, supervised therapy through Counselling For All. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational approach that emphasises safety, collaboration, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to explore their inner world at a pace that feels right for them. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, ageing, relational difficulties, identity shifts, intimate partner violence and post-traumatic stress. I am particularly drawn to work that helps clients make sense of their emotional experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and aligned with their values.
I welcome clients of all genders and backgrounds and have a particular interest in supporting men’s mental health, especially those who may be navigating emotional overwhelm, anger, loneliness, or difficulty expressing vulnerability. I also work with individuals facing major life transitions, including changes in relationships, career, aging, and identity. As an immigrant to Canada who has lived and taught English in several countries, I bring a culturally responsive and reflective lens to my work. I value the many ways people understand themselves, their histories, and their worlds, and I aim to honour each client’s cultural, social, and personal context.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing primarily from emotionally focused therapy (EFT), existential and humanistic frameworks, and skills-informed practices influenced by dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). I pay close attention to emotional safety, nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, and the impact of past experiences on present-day coping. Rather than focusing on symptom reduction alone, I work collaboratively with clients to deepen emotional awareness, build self-compassion, and strengthen their capacity to respond to life with greater flexibility and intention. Therapy is tailored to each individual, and interventions are chosen thoughtfully to support both emotional processing and meaningful change.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. In our work together, we will gently explore what is getting in the way, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and cultivate inner resources that support resilience and growth. I aim to be present, honest, and engaged in the therapeutic relationship. My aim is not to fix you, but to work with you as you develop greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and a fuller sense of alignment with your values. Whether you are seeking healing, direction, or reconnection with yourself, I am committed to supporting you with care, curiosity, and respect.
